Registered Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Depend on the place they work and the patients they are working with
• Promote public health and educate others

• Record medical histories of their patients
• Teach patients and their family how to overcome and manage the illness they have
• Perform tests and analyze the results
• Work with people from different professions
• Observe patients and record and analyze the observations they had
• Create a treatment plan for patient
• Giving patients medication
• Keeping patients comfortable
• Aid doctors during certain procedures
• Record patients symptoms
• Keeps a safe and clean environment for the patient

Salary: $67,490 per year

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, Complete courses in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition and psychology, Complete BNS or ADN programs, BNS requires 4 years, ADN requires requires 2-3 years, Obtain a Nursing License by graduating from a nurse program  and pass an exam known as NCLEX-RN

Reflection: I would not like to become a registered nurse because this is a job that doesn’t really sound interesting.
