"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."
-President John F. Kennedy
This quote means that physical fitness is a very important key to a healthy body and also is the basis of intellectual activity. Without physical fitness the body would not work at the peak of its capacity. An example of this is getting enough sleep, getting enough sleep helps you not feel tired and can help you concentrate. If you don't get enough sleep you will feel tired and your body would not be working at its peak capacity. It also means that if the body isn't healthy or strong then the body won't be working at its max capacity. Keeping the body healthy and strong is important such as getting enough rest and exercising. This helps body work at its max capacity. Physical fitness is both a key to a healthy body and the basis of intellectual activity. I agree with this quote because physical fitness helps your body work at its max capacity and getting enough rest can help you concentrate. I also agree because not having a healthy body can limit your capacity.
