This quote is short but has a strong meaning to it. It means that it is better to choose to have a great name than to be rich and not have a good name. Having a good name means that when people hear your name they will think something good about you. Having a bad name means that when people hear your name they will remember you as a bad person when they hear your name. You can become  a good name and have great riches by choosing the right to make a better name for yourself and that will help you become richer. It is more important choosing the right and having a good name because people will remember as someone who was a good  person. If you don't have a good name and you choose the wrong and you choose great riches, people will not remember you as a good person. In stead they will remember you as a bad person and also as a selfish person. Overall I agree with what this quote has to say. People should strive for being a better name and choosing the right, it makes them a better person.
