Medical Scientist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Discover new methods of enhancing human health
• Come up with new treatment options such as new drugs and vaccines for certain disease
• Perform research on bacteria and viruses
• Analyze medical samples to determine the cause of diseases
• Create and test medical inventions
• Develop health programs that help others
• Follow regular procedures to avoid contamination and to keep area safe
• Evaluate the effects of bacteria and viruses
• Create experiments and hypotheses
• Study the causes of diseases
• Test drugs with patients in a clinical trial
• Analyze data from clinical trial  

Salary: $76,980 per year

Educational Requirements: A Ph.D in biological Sciences or a Medical Degree. Before getting any of these 2 degrees they first a bachelor’s degree in biology. You are also required to pass an exam in order to be licensed
