“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
-Sophocles

This is a short quote but it has a huge meaning. What this quote means is that it’s better to lose with honor than to lose by cheating. An example would be taking drugs to enhance your performance. You will win by cheating but the win will be without honor. Losing with honor is a lot more important than winning by cheating, because it shows that you are someone who chooses the right. Cheating is something that makes you lose honor. If you don’t win with honor you won’t feel happy about your win because you were dishonest. Being dishonest is choosing the wrong. Winning by cheating also shows what type of person you are. A person who doesn’t work hard to complete his/her goals and takes the lazy path to their goals by cheating. Overall, I agree with this quote. Losing with honor is better than winning by cheating.
