“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain,  but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
-George Mitchell, Senate Majority Leader, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Disney Chairman of the Board.

This is a very long quote that also has a huge meaning behind it. What this quote means is that when you cheat you will be happy for a bit, which is short term gain. You will feel happy at the moment but then later on you will realize that what you did is wrong. It’ll cause you long term pain. Many people think that cheating is good but it affects you negatively. It doesn’t matter whether you get caught or not, you will still feel bad for what you did. Cheating isn’t worth doing for a short term gain and long term pain. You might feel happy when you cheat but sooner or later deep down inside you, you will realize that what you have done is something that you shouldn’t have done. An example of this quote is a person cheating on a test. When the person cheats and finds out they have a good score they will be happy for a little while. Soon they will realize that they shouldn’t have cheated and will feel guilt because the score on the test isn’t their true score. Cheating shows exactly what type of person you are. A person who chooses the wrong that is lazy. The second part of the quote provides us with an example of cheating. The example that is provided is that using steroids in sports makes you a cheater. Something that nobody likes it. Cheating not only affects you, it affects the people around you as well. It is better that you choose the right instead of cheating because it shows that you work hard to reach your goal.
