“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
-Abraham Lincoln
This is a long quote that also has a huge meaning behind it. It means that you should always be true to yourself. You should never choose the wrong. You should always make the right choices because people see you based on the choices you make. An example of this quote is Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln did what was right. One of the things that he did that was right was that he walked 6 miles just to pay a woman back that didn’t get enough change. Another thing that Abraham Lincoln did was he started a business. The business did terrible but instead of declaring bankruptcy he decided to pay all of his debts back. One final thing that he did was he worked in fields for a few days to pay back a book that was borrowed that he soaked. Abraham Lincoln is someone who bounds to be true and not wrong. People who choose the right are people that don’t bound to win, they instead bound to be true. You should never surround yourself with people who choose the wrong because they will influence you to make the wrong choices.
