"What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player."
-John Wooden
This quote means that what you are as person is more important then what you are as basketball player. John Wooden doesn't focus on winning he focuses on making his players better people. Being a better person is more important than being a better basketball player. An example of this quote is about John Wooden. He not only coached his players but he also made them better people. The players he coached chose the right. They all became better people and better players. This quote has a very string meaning and I agree with this quote. Being a better person and choosing the right is more important than being a better basketball player.
