Dental assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Providing patient care

·         Take X-Rays for recordkeeping

·         Scheduling appointments

·         Assist the dentist during treatment procedures

·         Taking blood pressure and pulse

·         Help patients feel comfortable

·         Perform office management tasks

·         Taking patients to treatment area

·         Ordering supplies

·         Manage patient records

     Salary:   $34,500

Educational Requirements:  No formal education requirements for entering in a career of dentist assisting. Some assistants have a high school diploma and receive on-the-job training

Reflection: I would not like to be a dentist assistant because they don’t make a lot of money. Another reason why I would not want to be a dental assistant is that they don’t have a formal educational requirement.
