"Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education."
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This quote means that just being intelligent isn't enough, you also need to have character. In other words you need to be someone who chooses the right. People that choose the right are more successful. Being intelligent isn't enough, you also need character. You need both of these things so that you use your intelligence in a good way and not in a bad way. People who are highly intelligent but have no character are less successful than those who have both a high intelligence and a good character. It's not about having one or the other, it's about having both intelligence and character without both of these you won't be very successful. Having just one of these things will mean that you will be less successful but having both will mean that you will be more successful. I agree with this quote because it's about having more than intelligence. It's also about having character and that's what the goal of education is, to have both a high intelligence and character. Choosing the right instead of choosing the wrong will make you an even more successful person.
