Duties and Responsibilities

·         Experts in non medical diagnosis and management of disorders in the auditory and balance systems

·         Identify hearing problems and balance disorders

·         Rehabilitating  persons with hearing and balance problems

·         Prevent hearing loss

·         Evaluate hearing

·         Fitting hearing aids

·         Treating balance disorders

·         Determining if a person needs a device for hearing

·         Teaching communication strategies

Salary:  $61,000 - $96,000

Education: Doctoral degree in audiology

Reflection: I would not like to become an audiologist because they don’t make a lot of money. Another reason why I wouldn’t be an audiologist is that they require a Doctoral Degree.
